- In the stunning upset of the week Arkansas picked up more yards on the ground (279) than Auburn did altogether (213)
- Michigan St fell for the third straight week throwing in the towel against rival Michigan and the road looks no easier. This week Ohio State visits East Lansing and even optomistic MSU fans don't expect a repeat of 1998 when the Spartans toppled a then Number One Buckeye squad lead by Joe Germaine at the Shoe in Columbus.
- The Nebraska score was a bit wider than it looked as ISU picked up a TD with just six seconds remaining in the game to make a 28-14 game look respectable rather than the 28-7 game that was more indicative of the play on the field.
- USC again escaped the fall from the ranks of the unbeaten by staving off a drive from Washington as time expired. Clung to a shaky victory.
- The longest ATS win streak in the nation was snapped when OSU lost ATS for the first time in 14 games against BG last week. OSU had an opportunity for a frontdoor cover driving to the BG red zone with just over 4 minutes remaining, but they were stopped on downs and missed the cover by a hair.
- Wake Forest had a big lead on Clemson in the 4th when a blocked FG turned the tide on the Deacons. Clemson picked up the ball and returned it roughly 60 yards for the score and rattled off 24 unanswered points in the 4th quarter to gain the win.
