USC vs Arizona State
This is the biggest game in the Pac-10 this week. Arizona State will try to pull off the upset at home. For them to win, QB Rudy Carpenter must have a good game with few turnovers and RBs Dmitri Nance and Keegan Herring must be solid on the ground. USC is still considered the marquee team in the conference and are favored to win this game. With QB John David Booty back at the helm, the Trojans have been much better on offense. The running game has helped out as well. This game should be high-scoring with plenty of points on the scoreboard. Give the edge to the Trojans as they have the better players and more experience in big games than  the Sun Devils.

Oregon vs UCLA
Oregon defeated the Bruins last year 30-20 on the road. They will be without QB Dennis Dixon who is out for the year with a knee injury. Brady Leaf will start for the Ducks. The Ducks are coming off a big loss to Arizona last Thursday night. The Bruins  are on a three-game losing streak and Karl Dorrell's job is on the line once again. The Ducks spread offense is tough to stop even without Dixon at the controls. The edge goes to the Ducks as they have a much more powerful offense and have a defense that can contain the weak UCLA offense.

Washington State vs Washington
QB Jake Locker will start for the Huskies in this rivalry game. The Huskies are coming off a big win over California at home last week while the Cougars got walloped by the Oregon State Beavers at home. Anything can happen in rivalry games, but the Huskies should pull out a win with Locker and RB Louis Rankin leading the way.

Notre Dame vs Stanford
Stanford will be trying to stop a three-game losing streak while the Fighting Irish are coming off a win over Duke. Stanford has the edge because they are at home but Notre Dame has already beaten one Pac-10 team when they beat UCLA earlier this year. Although the Fighting Irish has a lot of problems, they are coming off a win and gained some momentum last week. The edge goes to the  team that is playing much better and that team is Notre Dame.
